The Apple 'Switch' and Internet Statistics

With so many developers and techies happily blogging about their Apple experience, I was curious if the 'switch' was visible in public browser statistics. The answer seems to be 'yes' and 'no'.

Yes, there is a noticeable upward trend in the use of MacOS as visible in these statistics:

No, the shift does not seem to be, at this point, significant enough to really describe a trend. It's much like developer/techie adoption of Firefox. It's an interesting trend, but it hasn't made up nearly enough ground that we could make any prediction about the mass market.

If you're Microsoft, maybe this stuff keeps you up at night, and maybe it should, but for the rest of us, status quo prevails.
